My pots are all hand-made, either thrown on the pottery wheel or hand-built with slabs of clay.  I enjoy discovering odd items such as kitchen tools, puzzle pieces and garage sale finds to add texture, imprints or a touch of whimsy to my work. 

Most of my pots are glazed and fired to Cone 6 in an electric kiln, making the them functional for everyday food use, as well safe for the microwave or oven.  I also do some pit-firing work (see the sculptural piece above), which produce unique coloring and texture created by the flames.
